OCD Behavior - How to Change it
OCD behavior can cause you to spiral down into depression. You're life may turn into oblivion and chaos. You know that when you give into your rituals you are making it that much worse. However, by not giving in, you will feel anxiety, but it won't last as long as you think. I want you to know that the cure for OCD ultimately is not giving in to it.
You should note that giving in to OCD behavior is a habit that you have created by repeatedly giving in to whatever your OCD tells you to do. I want you to know that it does not have to be this way, life does not have to be this way at all. I think you are here reading this right now because you want a change. Is is my duty to help you make such a change.
You see, a major change always takes just a moment, but the time it takes for someone to get ready for that change is another thing altogether. OCD behavior can affect everything in your life including any major changes you want to do or are thinking about. Imagine what life would be like without OCD. You must first stop yourself from acting on your rituals.
You see, when people come to me for aid with their OCD behaviors, they never really want to do the work required and just want to take medication and leave it at that. The problem is that it's not their fault, well, they've seen enough commercials about medications and the quick fix that it's been programmed and they are thinking the way the drug companies want them to. "I need their drug" is the statement that these companies want you to be thinking, have they taken over your mind?
OCD behavior not only affects your life but the lives of those around you very negatively. However, I suspect that you already knew that, you just want a cure. But are you willing to pay the price? The price being: not giving in to your rituals. If this is too high a price for you then you will always have OCD. However if you see the value in paying this price, you will no longer suffer with obsessive compulsive disorder.
Be who you are and do what you do but if you want to stop your OCD behavior, you will need to face the anxiety that drives your OCD. You can do this however, and it's ok if you need a little hand holding or guidance along the way, I did! No man or woman is an island and neither are you.
